Match care to your equipment
Lubrication and care should follow the door and opener manufacturer’s guidance. Different components need different treatment. Springs, cables, and other parts under tension should be handled by a trained technician.
Notice changes between visits
Listen for new noises and watch the door’s movement from a safe distance. Keep the area around the safety sensors clear. If the door becomes crooked, unexpectedly heavy, or visibly damaged, stop operating it and arrange an assessment.
